Expect Hope was founded by Emily Prins in 2015. As the ministry’s visionary, Emily systematically planned to serve women in New York City since God stirred her heart at a young age. Expect Hope first began operating with DBA (Doing Business As) status under an Advisory Board of a local ministry. Emily and those who served on that Board spent two years raising awareness and funds in the tri-state area which led to the eventual opening of Expect Hope’s doors in early 2018. Expect Hope incorporated separately under an independent Board of Directors at the end of 2018. Emily served as the principal fundraiser and grant writer as well as spiritual and governing oversight until the end of 2022. Emily continues to serve the maternity housing community through the National Christian Housing Conference Committee.
